WGN9 News featured Michael Vanovermeir, “New Lenox, IL MFE-IS Branch Manager,” to learn about real-life uses for Boston Dynamics high-tech robot, “Spot.” The reporters traveled to the MFE Inspection Solutions New Lenox Training Facility to see Spot In action and the latest cutting-edge technologies MFE-IS has to offer. Mike showed different features of Spot and even let WGN9 reporters take the controls and walk Spot around the facility. A few notable features that stood out to the WGN9 reporters were Spots’ ability to stop from being tipped or knocked over and his ability to walk over all kinds of obstacles, including up and downstairs.
