Simplify Underwater Inspections with the Poseidon Robotics Lanai ROV

Successful underwater inspections depend on more than the ROV itself.

Surface equipment must be assembled, power and communications verified, and control systems configured before operators can begin collecting useful inspection data.

The Poseidon Robotics Lanai was designed to simplify the process. Delivered as a complete inspection system, it arrives factory assembled and tested with an integrated surface console, tether reel, professional controller, and transport cases.

Because the console includes its own control computer and sunlight-readable display, operators can begin work without supplying or configuring a separate laptop, helping crews move from transport to deployment faster.

Ready-to-Deploy System

The Lanai is built as a turnkey ROV system rather than a collection of individual components.

The vehicle, surface console, tether, and accessories are engineered to work together out of the box, reducing setup complexity and minimizing the time required before operations can begin.

Its compact surface console combines power distribution, a professional hand controller, an Intel-based control computer, and a 12-inch high-brightness display into a single portable package.

Support Multiple Underwater Inspection Sensors

The Lanai is designed with flexibility in mind. Its open deck space and integrated buoyancy provide room for mission-specific payloads without requiring a dedicated tooling skid.

The platform supports imaging sonar, scanning sonar, altimeters, CTD sensors, and ultrasonic testing equipment, while multiple Ethernet connections, RS232/485 communications, and regulated auxiliary power simplify third-party sensor integration.

Built for Stable Underwater Inspections

Inspecting offshore structures and other submerged assets requires precise vehicle control around complex geometry.

The Lanai uses an eight-thruster configuration with four lateral thrusters and four vertical thrusters to provide responsive underwater control. Combined with a 400-meter depth rating and speeds of up to 2.5 knots, the system is designed to perform across a wide range of subsea environments.

Also, a tilting 1080p HD IP camera and four 1,500-lumen LED lights improve visibility in low-light conditions, helping operators capture clear imagery while documenting underwater assets.

Ready for a Wide Range of Underwater Operations

The Lanai is designed with flexibility in mind. The standard system includes a 125-meter tether on a reel, a Newton grabber, waterproof transport cases, spare parts, and essential tools, providing everything needed to begin work immediately upon arrival.

Together with the integrated surface console, these components create a complete inspection system that supports efficient field operations across a wide variety of underwater missions.
