Real-Time Visibility for Deep-Sea Inspection Work
Deep-sea inspections depend on a clear, quick view of assets that may be difficult to access and surrounded by low-visibility water. Limited visibility can make it harder for operators to navigate, monitor conditions, and identify areas that require closer attention.
The OrphieCam 3000 combines deepwater capabilities with real-time image processing to support visual inspections at depths down to 3,000 meters. It provides a live color video stream for ROV navigation, infrastructure monitoring, and other deep-sea applications.
Inspect at Depths Down to 3,000 Meters
The OrphieCam 3000 is rated for operation at depths down to 3,000 meters, supporting visual inspections of deepwater infrastructure, submarine cables, offshore assets, and other submerged structures.
Its titanium housing is designed for deep-sea deployment, while a tempered Borofloat lens protects the camera’s optical components.
Extend Visibility in Low-Visibility Water
Real-time image processing helps the OrphieCam 3000 deliver clearer views in underwater environments where suspended material, low light, or other conditions can limit conventional camera visibility. This deepwater visualization can give operators useful visual data for navigation, monitoring, and inspection work.
The camera has a 67-degree diagonal field of view in water, with a 59-degree horizontal and 48-degree vertical view, helping teams maintain awareness of the asset and its surroundings during inspections.
Stream Real-Time Video with Low Latency and Bandwidth
The OrphieCam 3000 delivers live video with approximately 200 ms of latency, giving operators quick visual data during ROV navigation, asset monitoring, and underwater inspection work.
Video is transmitted over 100BASE-T Ethernet, with a maximum bandwidth of 12 Mbit/s. This combination supports real-time video delivery while limiting the camera’s bandwidth requirements within a subsea inspection system.
Configure Camera and Video Settings with Orpheo
Orpheo software provides a single interface for viewing and configuring Orphie cameras. Operators can adjust the OrphieCam 3000’s bitrate and stream size and manage its network settings according to the inspection system and video requirements.
Additional software functions include digital zoom, snapshots, and video recording. These tools allow teams to examine the live view more closely and retain visual records from inspection work.
