Extend Subsea Photogrammetry to Ultra-Deepwater Assets
Inspecting infrastructure thousands of meters below the surface requires imaging equipment that can withstand extreme pressure while collecting the visual data needed for measurement and documentation.
Rated to 6,000 msw (meter sea water), the Hydro 6000 extends stereo-photogrammetry workflows to ultra-deepwater pipelines, offshore platforms, wrecks, and other subsea assets. Integrated with a compatible ROV, it captures image data that teams can process into accurate 3D models for dimensional analysis, condition assessment, and long-term asset monitoring.
Capture Photogrammetry Data at Depths up to 6,000 Meters
The Hydro 6000 is built for subsea inspections beyond the operating range of shallower photogrammetry systems. Its titanium camera and POD are rated to 6,000 msw, allowing teams to collect image data from pipelines, offshore platforms, and wrecks in ultra-deepwater environments.
Compatibility with Light Work Class and Work Class ROVs allows the system to be incorporated into established subsea inspection and survey operations. Once integrated, the Hydro 6000 extends photogrammetric data collection beyond the depth range of the other systems in the HYDRO Series.
Create Detailed 3D Records with Stereo Photogrammetry
The Hydro 6000 uses two 12-megapixel cameras to capture overlapping images of subsea assets from slightly different perspectives. These images can be processed into scaled 3D models that provide more spatial information than conventional underwater video, supporting measurement, dimensional analysis, and condition documentation.
Integrated lighting delivers up to 80,000 lumens to illuminate assets in dark subsea environments. Combined with the system’s stereo-camera configuration, this controlled image capture supports the millimetric accuracy required for detailed 3D reconstruction and comparison over time.
Integrate with Light Work Class and Work Class ROVs
The Hydro 6000 is compatible with Light Work Class and Work Class ROVs, letting inspection teams incorporate stereo photogrammetry into existing subsea survey platforms. The separate camera and POD configuration supports installation around the ROV’s available space, payload capacity, and viewing requirements.
The POD operates on 48 VDC at 150 W and provides Ethernet data output with 2 TB of storage. A dedicated API supports system integration, while IVM offers compatible hardware for mounting, power conversion, and camera positioning.
Create Real-Time 3D Models with IVM SLAM
The Hydro 6000 is compatible with IVM SLAM, an AI-powered survey assistant delivered as a topside computer that enables real-time simultaneous localization and mapping during underwater inspections.
As the Hydro 6000 captures images, IVM SLAM processes downscaled imagery to generate a live 3D model in the IVM Supervisor interface, giving operators immediate visibility into inspection progress.
This real-time view helps teams identify incomplete coverage before leaving the site, reducing the likelihood of repeat deployments. IVM SLAM also selects key images from the survey to accelerate post-processing of the final high-accuracy 3D reconstruction.
