The DT340 L package is ideal for construction companies inspecting new installations, pipe inspection contractors and small towns with limited budgets to get a basic understanding of possible obstructions and degradation within their pipes. If you’re looking for a wider range of capabilities, consider one of the other DT340 packages that come with an even larger suite of capabilities.
The DT340 L package comes with the base DT340 crawler which is sometimes referred to as “tractor.” This crawler is modular, allowing you to add various wheel kits, camera options or elevating arms to expand the capabilities of the crawler. This crawler fits into pipe diameters as small as 8″(200m) and has a forwarding facing zoom camera to capture a view of the pipe from your handheld controller and capture the video onto an SD card.
The DT340 L package comes with 200m (656′) of tether on a reel that counts the distance you have traveled into the pipe, displaying this data on screen as well as on your recorded video, along with your incline, roll and other parameters.
The DT340 S package is a great starting point for a pipe inspection company or municipality that faces various conditions and pipe diameters.
The DT340 S package comes with a pan/tilt/zoom camera that can be equipped on the base body for small diameter (8-12″) pipe as well as connect to the modular elevating arm for large diameter pipes.
The elevating arm allows you to raise the camera head above a water line or toward the center of up to a 36″ (915mm) diameter pipe. The DT340 S package also comes with a larger rubber wheel set for increased stability in larger diameter pipes.
The DT340 X package is a more well-equipped setup in comparison to the S package.
